Privacy Policy

How GTAGeo protects account details, submissions, uploads, and site activity.

Our Privacy Approach

GTAGeo is built to collect only what is needed to run the site, review community submissions, protect users, prevent abuse, and improve the map experience. We do not sell personal information.

Information We Collect

GTAGeo may collect account details such as email address, display name, sign-in status, and information provided through supported SpiderTaz Network accounts. We also collect content you choose to send, including locations, discoveries, screenshots, video links, corrections, player tips, map notes, contact messages, bug reports, and related details.

Submissions And Public Content

Content you submit may be reviewed and, if approved, displayed publicly on GTAGeo. Public content may include your submitted title, description, source links, screenshots, video links, map notes, and other details that help visitors understand the discovery. Do not submit private information about yourself or anyone else.

Screenshots And Uploads

Screenshots, clips, and links you send may include visible usernames, map details, timestamps, captions, device details, location clues, or other information in the file or page you provide. Only send material you have permission to share. GTAGeo may reject or remove uploads that appear unsafe, private, unrelated, misleading, or harmful.

Logs, Cookies, And Local Storage

Like most websites, GTAGeo may receive basic logs such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and time of visit. Cookies or local storage may be used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect forms, reduce spam, improve security, and understand how the site is used.

Security And Abuse Prevention

GTAGeo may use submitted details, account activity, logs, and security signals to detect spam, impersonation, automated abuse, harmful uploads, repeated misuse, or attempts to damage the site. Accounts or submissions may be limited, blocked, declined, or removed when needed to protect the community.

Moderation And Review

Submitted content may be reviewed, edited, approved, declined, hidden, or removed to keep the map useful, safe, accurate, and respectful. Pending review items are not intended to appear publicly until checked. Review decisions may consider accuracy, safety, ownership, privacy, source quality, and community value.

Analytics

GTAGeo may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages, searches, map areas, and features help visitors. Analytics should be used to improve GTAGeo, not to sell personal information or build unrelated advertising profiles.

When Information May Be Shared

GTAGeo may share information when needed to operate hosting, security, analytics, email, file storage, account, or moderation services; respond to valid legal requests; protect users; investigate abuse; enforce site rules; or complete a business transfer involving GTAGeo. Service providers should only receive what is reasonably needed for their role.

Retention

GTAGeo keeps information for as long as reasonably needed to run the site, manage accounts, review submissions, preserve useful community records, resolve disputes, enforce rules, prevent abuse, and meet legal or operational needs. Some approved public content may remain available unless it is corrected, removed, or replaced.

Your Choices

You can choose what to submit, avoid adding personal details to public content, ask for corrections, request removal of content you sent, or contact GTAGeo with privacy questions at contact@gtageo.com. Please include the page URL and enough detail for us to find the content.

Children

GTAGeo is intended for a general gaming audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact GTAGeo so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Updates

GTAGeo may update this Privacy Policy as the site grows, features change, or legal and safety needs change. Continued use of GTAGeo after an update means the updated policy applies.
